Children, families, people in love. I absolutely adore capturing people in the moment, just being themselves. My Family Photography sessions can be held around the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas, either in your home or at an outdoor location. I like to shoot right before sunset when the light is amazing. I have a few favourite spots but if there’s somewhere special to you I’m always open to suggestions.
I like to keep sessions relaxed with the most important element being having fun. I don’t usually pose people, I keep things simple and adjust when necessary. I want you and your family to adore your photos and remember how much fun your session was. It’s my job to capture memories for you that you will cherish for many years to come.
I am an experienced children’s photographer and I absolutely adore capturing kids playing, laughing and having fun. So, if your children aren’t in the mood for photos on the day, don’t stress about it. I usually allow them to run off and do their own thing while I follow along, camera ready and that’s when the magic happens. The natural smiles come out and I will capture some amazing photos for you.
Wondering what to wear? It’s a popular question. I tell people to wear something comfortable and something which suits the environment we are going to. Co-ordinating with each other is important and looks great but don’t do the matchy-matchy thing with everyone in denim and matching shirts. Ladies look fantastic in jeans and a nice top or a flowy dress, guys have it really easy and just need to wear something like jeans and a nice shirt. Then just dress the kids in something that compliments what you are wearing and most importantly something they are comfortable in. The last thing you need is the kids complaining about their clothes being all scratchy! There’s some more info about wardrobe choices over on my Packages page.
A Family Photography session will usually run for 1-2 hours and I will provide you with a private online gallery of a selection of photos from your session. Have a look at the Packages page for more information.
